Sun on the surface. Timber and fibreglass both bake. Morning and late afternoon are the usable windows.
Privacy. Villa decks with slides are often the most photographed part of a resort, and on the busier islands boats and paddleboards pass close by. If total privacy matters, ask for an end of jetty villa.
The seabed. Some landings are pure sand, others have patches of coral rubble. Reef shoes solve it, and no brochure will mention it.
