Which Maldives Resorts Have Overwater Villas With a Private Pool
Plenty of Maldives resorts have overwater villas. Fewer have one with a pool, and at several the entry category has none. Here are the exact names to book.

Sixteen Maldives resorts have overwater villas with a private pool, but the trap is that at Six Senses Laamu, COMO Cocoa Island, Gili Lankanfushi, Hurawalhi and Baros the entry level overwater category has no pool at all, and the pool version is a separate, higher tier. Booking the wrong category is the single most common and most expensive mistake here. The exact category names are below.

One partial entry. Kudadoo publishes 15 overwater residences, each with a 44 sq m infinity plunge pool, but does not publish an exact category name or villa size, so it sits here as a note rather than a row.
How big the pools actually are
Published pool sizes run from 19 to 44 square metres. Kudadoo is the largest at 44, then Milaidhoo at 42 and 1.2 metres deep, Hurawalhi at 27, Vakkaru at 24, Baros at 6.6 by 3.6 metres which works out at about 24, and Gili Lankanfushi at 19. Cheval Blanc publishes a length instead, 12.5 metres.
Most resorts publish no pool size at all. If the size matters to you, ask before you book.
Are any of them heated
No official Maldives resort page I checked claims a heated overwater pool. Patina says only that its pools are caressed by the warm Maldivian air, maintaining a pleasant temperature, which is ambient, not heated. Treat heated as unverified across the Maldives.
Adults only, slides and lagoon access
Adults only: Hurawalhi is adults only across the resort. Conrad Rangali's Premier Water Villa with Pool is adults only at villa level.
A slide: Soneva Jani only. All four of its water categories are named with Slide.
Steps straight into the lagoon from the villa: Baros, Vakkaru, Milaidhoo, Hurawalhi, Niyama, Anantara Kihavah, and every overwater category at COMO Cocoa Island.
The transfer can cost more than you expect
Speedboat only islands avoid the seaplane fee entirely, and that is real money. Conrad publishes its seaplane transfer at 700 US dollars per adult return. The speedboat only options in this list are Baros at 25 minutes, COMO Cocoa Island at about 40 minutes and Patina at about 45 minutes.

Which Maldives resort has the best overwater pool villa?
There is no objective answer, so judge it on what is measurable. Kudadoo has the largest published pool at 44 square metres. Soneva Jani has the largest villa at 555 square metres and is the only one with a slide. Cheval Blanc Randheli has the longest pool at 12.5 metres.
Do all overwater villas have private pools?
No, and this is where people get caught. Six Senses Laamu, COMO Cocoa Island, Gili Lankanfushi, Hurawalhi and Baros all sell overwater categories with no pool. The pool version is a separate, higher tier with a different name.
Are the pools heated?
No resort we checked claims a heated overwater pool. Patina describes its pools as kept at a pleasant temperature by the warm air, which is not the same thing. Assume unheated.
What is the cheapest Maldives resort with an overwater pool villa?
No resort publishes rates, so nobody can answer that honestly. What we can say is that the smallest pool villas on speedboat only islands avoid the seaplane fee, which Conrad publishes at 700 US dollars per adult return. Those are Kandolhu at 90 square metres, COMO Cocoa Island at 125 and Baros at 126.
