The penthouse Edward Lewis occupies, the one with the piano and the terrace, was never a Beverly Wilshire suite. It was built on a soundstage for the production. Sources disagree on which stage was used, so this page does not name one. What was real at the hotel is narrower than the legend: the exterior facade and the lobby. That is the honest list. The Beverly Wing was added in 1971 on the site of the old pool and tennis courts, runs to 14 floors, and holds the Mediterranean pool that was inspired by Sophia Loren's villa. The exterior in the film is the historic Wilshire Wing, the Wilshire Boulevard facade everyone pictures.
